Sir, - From boyhood to manhood to old age, I have had an unswerving commitment to the three national objectives:-
1. The unification of Ireland.
2. The restoration of the language.
3. The draining of the Shannon.
Many a public meeeting have I attended at which the faithful, young and old, cheered and shed silent tears of joyful emotion whenever these principles were enunciated. As these three objectives have come almost to fruition, it has become obvious that a fourth should be added. This is the closure of Sellafield.
Those of us of an optimistic nature fully expect all four to come into being in time for President Paisley to make a formal presentation of a suitable commemorative plaque to An Taoiseach on the occasion of his second marriage. - Yours, etc.,
T.J. GERAGHTY, Cappaghmore, Clondalkin, Dublin 22.
