Sir, - Perhaps in the next election we will have the option of voting for the nurses or the taxi drivers or the bus drivers or any of the other recent lobby groups. This would be far handier for all concerned since the above seem to be running the country anyway.
Perhaps they could set up a political party of their own, the Lobby Group party. Then when some other unaffiliated lobby group defies them, they could go on strike and refuse to recommence government duties until their demands were met. There would be little difference from the antics of the current Government except at least we could be informed that they were about to strike and it would not be a "secret" as with the current government. I can think of a slogan already: "The Lobby Party, a striking improvement". - Yours,etc.,
