Sir, - At the last elections to the European parliament all the candidates said their priority was to keep their constituents informed on European issues. They have all clearly failed in this promise by their almost complete absence from the campaign on the Nice Treaty. While the Government deserves some of the blame for the lack of knowledge among the electorate, it is our MEPs who have truly failed in their duty. -
