A chara, - Michael Mac Coisdealbh (September 3rd) fears the "deliberate and successful policy" of the infiltration of "these people" (Northerners) into our public and private sector. He's a bit late in voicing his fears. "These people" have assisted in the foundation of the State and have been prominent in the political sphere, in the Defence Forces, in business, in the arts, in the churches, etc., ever since.Should we get rid of these people now, Mr Mac Coisdealbh? And how? Refuse to give them work, refuse to allow them become citizens? Do we force them back up North at bayonet point? Why not? Only when we have got rid of them can we consider your "separate development". Of what? A master race untainted by strident Northern accents? It will be wonderful to see the realisation of Mr Mac Coisdealbh's dream with mandatory "No Northern Irish need apply" added to every job offer and "Papishes and Prods Out" plastered on the walls of Montrose.By the way, Mr Hume is an Irish citizen, but apparently in Mr Mac Coisdealbh's eyes, only a second-class one from whom certain freedoms are withheld. - Le meas,P.E.
