Madam, - Funny how Joe Patton compares Ireland's parliamentary representation only with countries that are bigger than us (August 24th). Why not point out that if Ireland had the same level of representation as India there would be only 1.9 TDs? At the other end of the spectrum, if we had the same representation as Malta there would be 700 TDs packed into the Dáil, and if we were like Tuvalu, there would be over 7,000 TDs. Perhaps Ireland has found a happy medium? - Yours, etc,
