O CONAIRE STATUE

A chara, - It was great to see the magnificent photograph of the Pádraic Ó Conaire statue in Galway that appeared with an article in Weekend (March 23rd).

I have to say, however, that I was amazed that the name of the artist who designed the seated figure and carved the great likeness of Pádraic, was omitted.

That sculptor's name was Albert Power RHA, my father.

Could you please allow me the opportunity to clarify this point? - Yours, etc.,
