Madam, - I write to you in the hope that my letter will highlight the serious problems of getting around Dublin City for disabled, blind and visually impaired people and mothers with prams and children.
More and more liberties are been taken by stall-holders (legal and illegal), people selling phone cards and street beggars, while shopkeepers, restaurant owners and cyber cafes to put advertising boards on the footpath, restricting pedestrians' right of way. Now that we have the smoking ban in public places, smokers also stand outside premises, making matters even worse. - Yours, etc,
MICHAEL JAMES TULLY, (Disabled person), Parnell Square West, Dublin 1.
