Sir, At Bray Head on Sunday last I saw 53 guillemots, oystercatchers and razorbills covered in oil some standing on rocks, some flapping in the water, all looking puzzled and heading for death.
My wish to see the person(s) who allegedly released oil dregs from their ship, oiled up and sent flappin into the Irish Sea along with the birds cannot, I know, be fulfilled. However, I think jail would be too good for the alleged perpetrators. Yours, etc., Dalkey, Co Dublin.
