Madam, – As asset, commodity and currency prices continue to fall in this country and across Europe, I see many of our businesses and their leaders continue to buck both the trend and their responsibilities.
Over the past 14 days, the price of oil has fallen from $89 to $74 a barrel (fall of 15 per cent) however, upon analysing petrol prices in my local garages (Dublin 7 region) I’ve seen nothing but a continuing rise in price over that period: now at € 1.35.90 a litre. When is this madness going to end? And if doesn’t, when will some form of legislation be passed to ensure it cannot continue? – Yours, etc,
