Sir, – I am carrying out research for a biography on Richard Hayward, a popular writer and well-known actor, singer, broadcaster and folklorist. He travelled all over Ireland during the middle period of the 20th century. Hayward appeared in early Irish films in the 1930s and drove around the country for a series of acclaimed regional topographical books. I would be grateful for any information from readers who may know of any copies of Hayward letters or postcards, or who recall hearing him sing on the radio or are familiar with his work in print or film. They can contact me at my postal address or by email: clementsrp@googlemail.com – Yours, etc,
