Sir, – I have to wholeheartedly agree with Ciaran Murphy ("What was the point of spending €96 million on Páirc Uí Chaoimh?", Sport, Opinion, February 3rd).
What was the point in spending €96 million on the stadium if it ends up going into “concert mode” every so often at the whim of the county board ?
The whole project is increasingly becoming a white elephant, and transferring home championship matches to other venues to facilitate concerts is a kick in the face to all genuine Cork supporters. – Yours, etc,
