Sir, - Ms Teresa Mannion (August 11th) states that an article written by me supports the ethos of the Family Law System which, in her opinion, is biased in favour of the mother. I wish to state that it is not, and never has been, my opinion that the gender of a parent should decide which parent should have custody of a child. The article of mine from which she quotes makes no reference to either parent having any primacy based on gender regarding the custody of their child. - Yours, etc., ,
