PARIS FLIGHTS

Sir, - May I draw your attention to your "Travel Home and Away" page (February 15th)

Sir, - May I draw your attention to your "Travel Home and Away" page (February 15th). In the feature on Paris your correspondent, Robert O'Byrne, draws attention to the cheaper fares to Paris as a result of Ryanair's newly-introduced services.

However, we are concerned by the reference that Aer Lingus "fly to Paris", whereas Ryan air "will fly you to Beauvais, outside Paris". Whilst we fully accept that Beauvais Airport is outside Paris, so also is Charles de Gaulle Airport, which is the airport served by Aer Lingus.

The inference is that somehow Aer Lingus fly you to Paris whereas Ryanair fly you outside of Paris. In truth, both Aer Lingus and Ryanair will fly you outside of Paris, but there is an excellent series of connections between Charles de Gaulle Airport and Paris, and equally between Beauvais Airport and Paris. - Yours etc.,

Commercial director, Ryanair, Corporate Head Office, Dublin Airport.
