Sir, - So Tom Parlon, former leader of the IFA, is to stand for election in Laois/Offaly as a member of the PDs.
As IFA leader, Mr Parlon argued forcibly for the continuation and extension of farm subsidies. It is the stated policy of the PDs to abolish farm subsidy. Will Mr Parlon be supporting the PD party line on this issue - or is he still in favour of subsidies? - Yours, etc.,
