Madam, - Mentor Agani of the University of Prishtina (September 6th) cautions against partitioning Kosovo, on the basis that such a move would encourage further territorial division in the Balkans.
This same reasoning could of course be applied to argue against partitioning Serbia by allowing Kosovo to secede. Indeed, an identical argument was raised against the dissolution of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in the early 1990s.
