A chara, - I note that the Fianna Failled Government is citing its Action Programme for the Millennium, published in 1997, as evidence of its intent to pilot the Community Warden Service scheme announced on August 26th.
Might I remind Fianna Fail TDs that, in 1997, it also promised (in its election manifesto) to oppose membership of the NATO-sponsored Partnership for Peace (PfP), and allow voters a referendum on any proposal to join PfP.
