Sir - I was incensed to hear Fianna Fail's Brian Cowen refer to Intermediate Certificate Pass students in a derogatory and derisory way during a "debate" with Alan Dukes on RTE last Monday night. His arrogant dismissal of those who have succeeded in achieving such a level of qualification within our educational system is typical of the intellectual snobbery which bedevils our society. - Yours, etc.,
