Madam, - The recent upsurge of junk mail, particularly in the Dublin area, needs to be addressed. An Post are at it - and so is The Irish Times, allowing junk mail to be inserted into the folded paper.
Householders' letter boxes are polluted daily by a deluge of these "mail shots". It is all about money. Why should householders have to pay for this junk mail which they do not want:, the junk has to be disposed of and is charged for by the local authority in emptying the bins. Why should the public be forced to sponsor junk mail? - Yours, etc,
MICHEÁL Ó NUALLÁIN, Monkstown, Co Dublin.
