Sir, - The answer to the problem of political contributions from the corporate sector is simple: Set up a "blind trust" which would receive all donations and disperse them to the party of the donor's choice, without telling the party the identity of the donor.

Donations could be paid out over a 12-month period, evening out any bumps in the system which would help to identify large donors. Parties would get their donations without knowing who they came from. This wouldn't matter, as parties are not influenced by the money they receive and companies giving the money only want to support the democratic process and don't expect to receive any special treatment for their contributions. - Yours, etc.,
