SEAMUS RODGERS, MIAPT,
Madam, - In reply to Louise Wilson, MISCP (December 24th), I would like to make the following points. The only group sowing the seeds of confusion between chartered physiotherapists and physical therapists is the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists. I suggest that your readers attend both professions to ascertain the differences for themselves. A list of the members of the Irish Association of Physical Therapists can be obtained from our headquarters in Priory Hall, Stillorgan.
As a fellow healthcare professional I am not impressed that the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists has chosen to attempt to discredit the Irish Association of Physical Therapists. The IAPT code of ethics (8.2) states: "A member may not in public nor to any client disparage or speak disrespectfully of another therapist or group of therapists." - Yours, etc.,
SEAMUS RODGERS, MIAPT,
(On behalf of Irish Association
of Physical Therapists),
Ashington Physical
Therapy Clinic,
