Madam, - There is a proliferation of buildings around Dublin with plaques informing the public that so and so once lived there for a while. Well, just because such former occupants were (a) famous (b) in the process of becoming famous, or (c) going to end up famous, isn't it enough that we commemorate them in the normal manner, without having to venerate the one-time roofs over their heads as well? - Yours, etc.,
