Madam, - I support unreservedly the notion that Poetry Ireland should retain its current premises at Dublin Castle. Poetry is important, the more so in these days when poets and other writers are coming together to engage in the politics of the world.
Is the Arts Council doing anything to ensure that Poetry Ireland has alternative premises, or funding to acquire these? Or will the council, as so often, provide some unreadable "artspeak" statement to bolster its lack of action? - Yours, etc.,
FRED JOHNSTON, Circular Road, Galway.
