Sir, - I wish the Government, newspapers, radio stations - and indeed the public - had the same interest in the deaths of over 400 people on our roads each year as they have shown over the past few weeks in the issue of whether events in which a ball is kicked around a field by well-healed sportsmen appears on terrestrial or satellite television.
