Sir, - It seems a large proportion of my correspondents read your paper. I would be grateful, therefore, if I may borrow some space on your letters page to inform friends and colleagues that I shall not be sending any more letter, until An Post stops promoting a political party that I neither support or subscribe to, on the items I consign to the post.
Thank goodness, Sir, that you yourself accept electronic communications, or I would have been in a real quandry as to how best to send this message! - Yours, etc.,
DARIUS BARTLETT,
Midleton,
Co Cork.

Sir, - The spate of letters complaining about Fianna Fáil using An Post for advertising is laughable. So, too, is Medb Ruane's column of March 8th. It seems very strange that there has been no uproar over advertising on mail in the past few years since An Post began this practice. It seems that private space is not invaded when somebody else advertises on mail, but when Fianna Fail does it, it is "exploiting this resource".
Perhaps it's not the concept of advertising on mail which bothers these people, merely all things Fianna Fáil? - Yours, etc.,
BRIAN MALONE,
Raheny,
Dublin 5.
