Sir, - Heartfelt thanks are due to Vincent Browne, and his expert piece of journalistic sleuthing (June 12th) confirming Sinn Fein's real passion for "the politics of condemnation".
While the disclosure of at least 22 "condemnatory" motions from the Clar of that Party's recent Ard Fheis should come as no surprise, such a documented expose of the lies, deception and linguistic gymnastics of Messrs. Adams, McGuinness, Doherty and Co. is absolutely timely in the wake of the murder of Garda Jerry McCabe.
In that context too, how can anyone be surprised or upset at the failure of Sinn Fein's leaders to condemn this particular murder. After all they did not condemn the Canary Wharf murders, which ended the ceasefire. They refuse to condemn the regular "punishment beatings" by the Oglaigh. Nor have they condemned a single IRA murder of RUC, UDR, British Army or civilian personnel down all the bloody years since 1970. - Yours. etc.,
