Madam, - Am I correct in assuming that, given their indignation over the Portmarnock Golf Club ruling, the Equality Authority's Niall Crowley and the representatives of women's groups such as the National Women's Council will be prepared to abolish such shamelessly sexist and un-PC entities as the "Women's Mini Marathon" and the "Irish Countrywomen's Association", and in the case of the "National Women's Council", their own organisation will itself disband?
Will these blatantly discriminatory bodies now be a thing of the past, or will what happened in the case of the Forty Foot (previously Men's) Bathing Place pertain, in that not alone will the situation be radically altered but that the rules themselves will be adapted expressly to suit the newcomers? - Yours, etc,
DAVID MARLBOROUGH, Kenilworth Park, Dublin 6W.
