Sir, – Greetings from my busy workshop here in the North Pole! I love reading Christmas letters from children all over Ireland – and replying to them too – so it’s important that they get writing straight away! Time is flying by!
All they need do is: write a letter and put it in an envelope; address it to me at “Santa Claus, The North Pole”; write their own name and full address (in very neat writing) on the front, top left-hand corner; stick a 55c stamp on the top right-hand corner, and pop it in the nearest postbox!
Once again this year, my many helpers in An Post are helping me to reply to as many letters as possible just before Christmas.
So it’s important that the girls and boys get writing as soon as possible – it’s such a busy time for us all!
All the elves are busy here making and packing toys and gifts. Mrs Claus is checking lists of names on her computer and planning the route for my big journey on Christmas Eve! I wish everyone a very happy and peaceful Christmas. – Yours, etc,
