The unit of currency in Ireland is an Irish pound, which in the Irish language is "punt". I don't know the plural of the Irish word judging from our banknotes it is also "punt", but I am certain it is not "punts". So there!
Incidentally what is this EYPn" on the Euro notes? Greek script? If so, why no Irish? - Yours, etc.,
