Sir, - I would like to commend Dana on her superb performance as a diplomat and as a true liberal right through her campaign for presidential nomination. She has embraced diversity, confounded the sceptics, unearthed democracy, highlighted the attractiveness of truth and boosted the spirit and confidence of ordinary people.
Her forthrightness and sincerity are surely a treat for our Irish media, the professionalism of which is often cramped by the evasiveness of our public representatives.
To date Dana is the only politically unadulterated candidate - proposed by the ordinary people and backed by ordinary people to be truly a people's President.
