Sir, – I read Pastor Paul Carley's comments (Letters, July 28th) with disbelief. He admonished The Irish Times for reproducing the "offending" "Repeal the Eighth Amendment" mural in a news report .
Shocking, a newspaper reporting current events and with a photograph.
He’s not advocating censorship, is he ? – Yours, etc,

Sir, – Pastor Paul Carley (Letters, June 28th) is clearly annoyed by the reprint of the “offending” “Repeal the Eighth Amendment” mural.
Content in support of Repeal the Eighth exists on many news outlets, newspapers, TV channels, websites, jumpers, and T-shirts. It’s even some people’s opinion to have a baseline respect for a woman’s choice.
So I would kindly suggest that to save him from any further shock or distress he avoids any contact with an opinion he disagrees with by simply sitting indoors in a darkened room.
It’s best for everyone.
– Yours, etc,
