concerning the meaning and origin of Irish placenames, I wonder at
the apparent flexible pronunciation of these by radio and
television presenters. Presenters appear to have carte blanche in
the matter. Is there an officially accepted manner in which these
names may be mispronounced? - Is mise,
FLANN Ó RIAIN,
Ardán,
Eatharlach,
Co Thiobraid Árann.
