Sir, - As someone who retired my mobile phone on January 1st this year, I now have occasion to use public phone boxes. I am impressed by their quality and condition. My memory of public phone boxes was that they were dirty and very often the phones had been pulled off the wall. Now they are bright, clean and always in tact.
I wonder does this mean that the people who got their kicks from damaging public phones are now all using mobiles? - Yours, etc.,
