Madam, - We are grateful for the notice of the launch on March 23rd of David Dickson's book Old World Colony: Cork and South Munster, 1630-1830 in Mary Leland's Cork 2005 column (The Irish Times, March 7th).
However, readers may have got the impression that we are also launching two other books, grant-aided by Cork 2005, on the same date. Lest readers be disappointed and booksellers misled, we would like to point out that our Dictionary of Munster Women Writers will appear in May, while the multi-authored and lavishly illustrated Atlas of Cork City will be published in October. - Yours, etc.,
