Sir, - The Sinn Fein pygmies in Carrickmore and Pomeroy have demonstrated that a new dawn is breaking in Tyrone. The old discriminations and bullyboys are being replaced by the bright new ones and parity of esteem appears to mean that republican jackboot tactics prevail.
It was sickening to watch Insight last night and hear the Sinn Fein assembly representative glory in his part in crushing an effort in community co-operation in Carrickmore. Although Mgr Denis Faul did not contribute to the discussion of the current controversy, his integrity shone through the programme like a beacon. The programme demonstrated just why he is one of the giants, a real Christian in the story of the past 30 years in Northern Ireland. - Yours, etc.,
