A chara, – May I respectfully ask Ivana Bacik and Eamon Gilmore to either remove or raise their intrusive overhanging eye-level campaign posters from our clear path of walking on Booterstown Avenue, Blackrock? Is there a minimum height for the hanging of such posters?
Those posters can not only cost money, but also votes. This particular election campaign is more about a process of elimination for me, the least offensive candidates will receive my vote – a sad state of affairs. At least that’s two that have been eliminated after Day One. – Is mise,
Madam, – May I suggest that on their election posters candidates should replace their usual posed picture with their CV? After all, these people are applying for some of the best-paid jobs in the country, with very generous taxfree perks and pensions.
We, the electorate, are the interview selection panel, so could we see their qualifications? This should include all the usual CV data such as education, work experience and the relevant qualifications for this type of position.
Obviously their parents’ occupations, and number of funerals attended are not the type of information required to enable us make our selection. – Yours, etc,
Madam, – We seem to have an election about every two years, yet the accumulation of poster ties belonging to election candidates still remain on many lamp-posts throughout the country.
It would surely be a sign of respect towards our environment to remove this littering for once and for all. Mr or Ms Political Nobody seem to be the culprit every time. It’s time to cut all political ties indeed! – Yours, etc,
