Madam, - Much applause again to Frank McNally for his Irishman's Diary (October 5th) concerning Pat Rabbitte and his questioning of the existence of the tooth fairy.
In relation to Mr McNally's concern at the timing of the broadcast and its possible effect on the innocence of the nation's children, it is ironic that Mr Rabbitte once complained that Dáil debates were being screened on Oireachtas Report at two o'clock in the morning when only "drunks and insomniacs" would still be awake.
Clearly Mr Rabbitte has misjudged his attempt to bring Dáil debates to a new audience. - Yours, etc,
JASON O'CONNOR, Kilcummin, Killarney, Co Kerry.
