Sir, - I opened your paper this evening to find out what the Budget meant to me. Like most people, I assume, I turned to your "typical families" on pages 6 and 7 of the supplement. To my surprise The Irish Times did not include the single-parent family in its summary of families.
Am I to presume that single parents are not supposed to work, earn a decent salary, pay tax and PRSI and possibly be concerned about what the Budget means to them?
Or should we be reading another paper? - Yours, etc.,
