Sir, With regard to Kevin Barry's review of the band Olive (June 28th), in which he contrasts "real" instruments with "banks of complicated-looking keyboards,"
does Mr Barry really believe that instruments that generate sound electrically or electronically are less real than their acoustically- oriented kin? Of course not, but it is a depressingly archaic value judgement. - Yours, etc.,
