Sir, - Having expended time, effort and expense to take household and garden rubbish to a waste disposal facility on Sunday, I was dismayed at the charges of between £4 and £20.
Is this the way to encourage people to stop indiscriminate dumping of rubbish?
Might I suggest that a better way would be to subsidise these excellent facilities so that people could use them free of charge? - Yours, etc., Katherine Heary,
