Sir, I recently attended a civil wedding ceremony at the Register Office on Molesworth Street and I was very disappointed by the premises.office which was not very clean at the time of our visit. There was no seating for the invited guests and couples are advised to invite only six people because of the lack of space.
It would appear that couples not wishing to have a religious ceremony are thus penalised by the State. Surely it should be possible to provide a more attractive setting for civil wedding ceremonies? - Yours, etc.,
