Sir, – I see no reason why our elected members cannot continue to conduct business in a Portacabin while the Dáil chamber is unavailable for a few weeks.
My three daughters had to receive both primary and secondary education for years in Portacabins, with the approval of the Department of Education.
Unfortunately I suspect that the tender process for the supply of adequate Portacabins might take longer to complete than building a new Dáil chamber. – Yours, etc,
