Sir, - So now it's official. The "presently predictable scenario" of a rising market, to which Alan Cooke of the Auctioneers' Institute refers (November 28th) in response to my correspondence, is apparently here to stay and it therefore wise for would-be buyers to get stuck in - and quickly, before house prices go up yet again.
I suppose that there is just no chance that if this advice is followed house prices will increase even more? - Yours, etc.,
