Sir, - Judging by statistics for road deaths 109 and climbing, the latest road-safety campaign appears to be a failure. This does not surprise me as the latest campaign does more for the back catalogue of Fleetwood Mac than encourage people to drive safely.Given the large sums of money spent on these campaigns, would the money not be better spent equiping the roads with more speed cameras, or producing a more simple hardhitting campaign, backed up with a Garda clampdown? - Yours etc.,
