Madam, - As someone who has also lost a loved one in a road accident, I cannot agree with Jane Sweetman's letter (November 15th) regarding the ad' campaign "Thump, Shame, and Damage". I welcome these ads and would suggest further that as part of the driving licence process that future drivers be required to visit the scene of a serious accident or the emergency ward of any major hospital.
When people actually see the damage and destruction that can result from speeding and dangerous driving they will hopefully think twice before engaging in it themselves. - Yours, etc.,
