Sir, – There must surely be enough folk in Ireland qualified to knock up a supply of “Irish company designed, simple black robes” to attire the Irish judiciary (Home News, October 22nd). Given the task of making these robes has gone to France, one wonders if “small businesses” in Ireland were invited to crank up their sewing machines to robe the judiciary.
