Sir, - There is only one possible response to the deliberately provocative loyalist murder of Rosemary Nelson that will prevent Northern Ireland from plunging back into the abyss and it is a political one. The assembly executive must be formed and formed now. David Trimble must stop dragging his feet and come to a realistic compromise which recognises that IRA disarmament right now, after the attack on Rosemary Nelson, is unrealistic. - Yours, etc.,
