Madam, - I wish to commend Noel Brett and the Road Safety Authority on their new campaign highlighting the fact that we are four times more likely to have a crash when holding a mobile phone (The Irish Times, May 15th).
Owing, perhaps, to my newly heightened awareness of the issue over the past week I have noted gardaí driving while using a mobile phone on no fewer than four occasions. A case of double standards? - Yours, etc,
