Madam, - I was interested to note ( Commercial Property, February 28th) that the auctioneers charged with the sale of the Burlington Hotel in Dublin have estimated the value of the site based on the assumption that the site could be developed at a plot ratio of four to one.
This intensity of development is not indicated under its current zoning. Have Dublin city councillors decided to rezone the site? Or will this be a case of developers buying the site at an inflated price and then seeking to rezone so that they can recoup the purchase price plus profit?
More developer-led development in the offing, by any chance?- Yours, etc,
