Sir, - Eating out is a nice treat . . . except if one is homeless. The scandal of an estimated 3,000 people sleeping rough in Dublin in the last month of the 20th century is a terrible indictment. Is there any way a certain politician could be persuaded to change his mind, thereby making the plight of those without a bed to lie on a little easier? Or has all the goodwill been taken up by a more "deserving" lobby group? - Yours, etc.,
