A chara, - Carmel Courtney takes me to task (May 1st) regarding my request for prayers for "a second chance" rather than requesting prayers for victims of clerical sex abuse" etc. It is a pity to confuse the issue, but perhaps Carmel might like to follow up her own excellent suggestion.
What is most desirable is that Ireland be given a second chance to have this issue resolved in and honest way so that our Constitution is not sullied by an amendment achieved by "dirty" money provided by the Government - something the Supreme Court has already pronounced as unconstitutional and wrong. Do our people wish to live with such a dubious amendment to the Constitution? Does not this situation cry out to be rectified? - Le meas,
